Maxted Law Seeks Class Certification in "Sweeping" Class Action Lawsuit against Forced Labor in Prisons

The Post Independent reports on the lawsuit filed by Maxted Law LLC against the Garfield County Jail due to the death of a 19-year-old father of two young children from a fatal combination of prescription medications.

Prison Legal News reports $325,000 settlement secured by attorneys David Maxted and Kathryn Stimson to settle case involving allegations of excessive force and brutalization of client within County jail. The settlement also required changes in policy, training, and practices by the County.
